This is a photograph I took at my home in Cawdor (near Camden) in the afternoon after a light shower. It shows a double rainbow stretching over the golden eastern paddock as the sun is beginning to set in the west . The darker Alexanders band between the bows intriques me and the way the bows divide the sky into pink on the right and blue on the left amazes me. I also love this picture because i can draw similarities between it and the artwork by John Everett Millais entitled 'The Blind Girl' which shows a double rainbow stetching over the English countryside in the background.
